Twisted Words

Twisted words from twisted minds Words unfaithful, uncouth Words meant to hypnotize Which hide the ugly truth Words posioned with hatred Glazed with sweet little lies When once are ingested Turn to bile without a guise Words hypocritical Words tainted with sin Meant to charm and capture A broken heart to win Words vile and sinister Clothed as angels of light Enter the heart on wings Then turn to creatures of night Hearts must be locked and guarded Minds kept alert and strong For words can lead to heaven Or to hell when proven wrong Eileen Manassian Ghali

This is a very strong write Eileen, the power of words should never be underestimated. Your line, 'Hearts must be locked and and guarded', says it all. Take care, Richard

Weew this is impactful. Makes me think of the end of the world. Sweet words from our leaders that lead the masses down the road of destruction.

Wrote a though paper for one of my MA classes on the power of words...The connotations and denotations of words....Let's see...here is an example. Is what happened in Iraq just....a war....an invasion...or a an act of liberation? The answer to THAT question, shows your world view...Amazing, isn't it....WOW! How powerful words are. It is scary sometimes......

Ahhhhhhhh....The book of James is all about this. "With the same mouth we praise God and curse our brother, this should not be." I'm guilty....as well. I feel bad. It is the motives behind the words which others may not see, but God does. Yes...you are right. Rules do use words for indoctrination and brain washing. The impact of propaganda and words is something I've wanted to research further.

Sad, but true. There's nothing more atrocious than unkind agendas hiding behind candy-coated syllables. I've seen it both on & offline. Youthful & elderly bitterness hiding behind the loud smiles. Don't get me started...thank you for this. Excellent job.
