Twin Flames

Ebullient flames dancing with ineffable measure under night's quiet penumbra A union of flamingo necks wound together by an eternally bound conundrum Their fires roar soft as they tenaciously whisper life into each others' capture To lose one light would darken the iridescent symphony of ever-loving rapture Their bodies scorch as two breaths of silk filament coalesced in tight embrace Their unity arouses somber thoughts and infuses them with epiphany and grace Forever lit by the succulent air they consume and the decadent light they exude They endlessly blaze love's eternal sketch as twin hearts unable to be subdued March 8, 2016

Looks like you got high placement in yet another contest, Sam! This is quite a different poem than Everyday Actors ... wonderful use of language like the entwining flamingo necks. Deserved win, I should say.
