Twilight
Ever so often when I can't sleep
I write so I don't start to weep
My husband snores a symphony
he falls asleep almost instantly
I wonder why I feel no glee
his arm is securely around me
I need to join him in his singing
if not my ears will start ringing
I will pray for safety through the night
it will soon become morning light
For then I can look into his eyes
once again it will be a bright sunrise
