to creatively recreate in a brief poetic form the inspiration for a previously written poem. Now there's a very interesting poetic "theme".
TWILIGHT
She creeps across the fading sunset
darkness stalking in shadow
following the whims of time
blowing out the flickering candles
closing the windows on a silenced day.
She is less feared, more subtle,
than Death’s slashing scythe.
Stealth is her game, secrecy her strength,
table setter for the final curtain call,
Her cool shivering chill the first -
and last - hint of her presence
as she creeps across the fading sunset.

To become the twilight
live fully in her fleeting moment
feel the chill of darkness snuff her life
unleash her metaphoric complexity
upon a cold, moonless night
