Twelve Years
Twelve years have past
Made me wonder, if we're going to last
These times has been so hard
No wonder, I had to call on the Lord
Some days up and some days down
Most folks didn't even know I had a frown,
The frown was deep down inside
If you looked closely, it looked like I had died.
But nevertheless, I'm alive and well
Because God saved me from the burning Hell,
The Hell that tormented my heart and my mind
But I still didn't show any signs.
Now things appear to be a lot better
I don't even have to give him a divorce letter,
If I continue to live as God has said
Then my marriage won't even be dead.
Full of laughter, joy, and no more pain
At this rate, my marriage has everything to gain,
No more of those unhappy tears
And I look forward to twelve more years.
