Tweets About Treats

Said the sparrow to the robin "Here they come again" "Yes, they're bringing food" Chirped up the tiny wren. "Do they think we're starving?" Asked a noisy thrush, "I am, so be quiet" Said the bluebird from a bush. "Are they bringing peanuts" Said the starling to the jay, Who greedily was hoping That some would come his way. The owl, he was watching But he was not impressed, By the time that he was hungry They'd be sleeping in their nests. So they all just watched As the humans brought the treats, Who never understood... All they heard were tweets. Entry for STRAND choice S any theme any form Poetry Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand 28/3/2020. Placed 3rd.

Hmm. Make you wonder: How do those birds understand us?! Smiles, Gershon

Gary, I like this light-hearted poem. The conversation between the different birds was very creative. Blessings, Kim
