'twas the Night Before Christmas

'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS 'Twas the night before Christmas in Bethlehem town When the glory of God shone all around It was first seen in a bright shining star Viewed by wise men in the east from afar It was seen by shepherds keeping watch o'er their sheep While the people in town were all fast asleep God's glory was seen by angels on high As they sang praises to God from up in the sky It was seen by the animals in a stable so bare As the Baby called Jesus, that night, was born there The Baby's mother, Mary, saw God's glory too And her husband, Joseph, as he knelt down to view The glory of God, as seen in a child Born in a stable, so meek and so mild Now on Christmas Day, as we all celebrate The birth of our Savior, who grew to be great Let's all call to mind what a beautiful sight To see God's glory on that first Christmas night Curtis Moorman 9 November 2008
