Lovely. Mom always eagerly waited for turnip season and so enjoyed eating them even though she was the only one.

You makin me hungry my friend! LOVE fresh turnips and the same goes for this Haiku...Bacon, garlic and onions and when they're done, I like cider vinegar on mine (Not on the Haiku of course) - Tim

Anne, Yes, I have heard that some cultures only it the root but I was reared where we have to eat the greens as well as the root..They say that they are rich in calcium and vitamins which we all need but don't necessarily like..Sara

Well, some like those greens and some do not..They are edible and low in fat..Ha!!Ha!!..I had some pomegranate as well that came from the bush in the garden..It was a sweet treat..Thanks for the visit..Sara
