Truth

I'm a high strung girl From two different worlds Fiery and passionate That's my Cuban one Sassy and mischievous The Bahamian sun Guys call me opinionated But I'm just liberated! I'm a nice person Once you get to know me Few though, ever see me clearly A "sarcastic jerk" they say They're lucky that I turn and walk away "Vengeance is God's" I mumble If I were you I'd stumble I speak my mind Don't keep it all inside Sorry if you find That troubling The truth hurts That's what's worst But you see Sometimes they respect me After all, isn't honesty the best policy? Now mind you it's rare Not everyone gets my charming flare But it's the ones that do That I care for too And if it's any comfort to you I think it's quite uncouth To never tell the truth!

It's good to know where you stand and to let others know where you stand. Mix that with kindness(like Richard says) and a bit of tact and you've got the perfect combo!

I walk towards the middle ground, truthful but tempered with kindness. Sometimes the kindness is more important than the truth. Quite often what we believe is truth is the result of filtering it through our own faulty thinking. Do all things tempered with Love as love is the most important truth of all. I enjoyed this poem and your spirit which is lovely and spunky. I have also appreciated you visits.

I agree. This is definitely one of my more...outspoken poems for sure. (Was a bit angry when I wrote this, ha) Sometimes though, I have to think twice before I do open my mouth and speak. You never know how much it'll effect the other person. Always appreciate your comments and words! :D

Also I'm pleased you like Spongebob as well. They changed writers after the movie so the new episodes suck (they are just plain weird in a completely unfunny way). It's funny how my Spongebob poem got more views than any of my other poems and yet I only got two comments on it... glad you got the humor out of it!

Dude, we so get each other, lol! Spongebob (Olden days) were awesome. I loved Squidward, haha! That always happens when they change writers. Like Seinfeld, they changed the director and the ending episodes stunk. :( Loved your poem about Spongebob, it's funny how that usually happens!

I'm tempted to snap my fingers and say "You go girl!"... but then you might question my sexual orientation... LOL! But seriously though this was great stuff! The truth uncut is better than the outer shell that refuses to crack. My friends mom is constantly making sarcastic references about me... but she tells me "I only tease the people I like... if I didn't like you I wouldn't say anything at all". Things seem a lot less chaotic when you write about it, am I right?

ROFL! I laughed so hard reading your comment!!! I don't question it at all! lol! Yes that is so true! I always say, "When I'm silent you should be scared. Because that means I'm thinking, and when I finally speak you won't like what I have to say!" So many people keep their mouth shut to be nice, but sometimes things just need to be said!
