Trust the Truth
Some trust in Horses and chariots,
they rely solely on wars and riots;
but we trust in the name of the Lord
and win wild wars with His word.
Some trust in their talent and skills
to surmount mountains and hills;
but we trust in the name of the Lord,
and tap great strength from His Word.
Some trust in stars and moon;
and the Sun that reigns at noon.
But we will trust in the name of the Lord;
and get enlightened by His Word.
The arms of flesh will fail them...
For it cannot solve any problem.
We will trust in the name of the Lord;
and draw comfort from His word.
Others may fumble and fall down,
their gods may make them frown;
we will trust in the name of the Lord
and get comforted by His Word.
The keepers may stay awake in vain,
their pleasure may turn to pain.
We will trust in the name of the Lord,
and get safety in His Word.
