True Love

I thought he was the ONE, I really did. He made me happy, and yeah we'd fight. Over little things, some big some small, "like he'd play games too much or act like a kid. He said stupid things but never to hurt me intentionly. His only problem was he wasnn't that bright Like when he wasout withhis friends or busy whether myy call was important or not he wouldn't answer my calls. I guess these things are important but I loved him so much I couldn't see. But now I'm ok and I wanna tell you that I've got a lock on my heart and I'm looking for the One with the key. He has to love me for me.

There are probably many of us who can really relate to the lock placed on the heart in this poem, Alexandra. And you're so right -- the one who unlocks that heart has to love you for you! Very wise. Love, Carolyn
