Trouble Flying
I’m in danger -
my wings are broken.
I am having trouble flying today.
Your words did that.
The words you penned
on yellow lined paper
still haunts my thoughts.
The bitter words,
remind me that you hate me.
Please take those words back and
tell me that you really do love me.
Help me mend my wings,
so that I can find
the strength to fly once again.
