Trouble Knocks
Have you ever been caught
Between a rock and hard place
Have you ever had to look
Adversity in the face
Or have you led an easy life
Where the roads is smooth and wide
have your doors been held open
Has there always been a guide
What will you ever do
If trouble knocks on your door
Gives you eviction notice
If there's less instead of more
Will you start to crumble
From the force of the blast
Are you made of better stuff
A substance that's made to last
One day we'll all be tested
Even those with silver spoons
Some are more resilient
Others pop like pricked balloons
It's better to have hardships
Much earlier in your days
So that you will have the strength
To turn your trouble away
We think that we want easy
I think that is a mistake
We become so much stronger
With each and every mistake
Between a rock and hard place
There is gold there to be found
Not often will you find it
Just out laying on the ground
Embrace each situation
We're purified by fire
If it doesn't burn us up
We will be lifted higher
