Trick Or Treat

(Contest entry: Poet’s October Pantoum...) Trick or Treat (Ghosts) These ghosts have walked the streets before, their hollow eyes embarking for the light; the streets are glad they’re here once more, going house to house at night. Their hollow eyes embarking for the light — Adults beside the sheets that they once wore going house to house at night are filled with life by ghosts they so adore. Though the candy’s not for them tonight, the streets are glad they’re here once more; the owls have left their porch light bright. These ghosts have walked the streets before. 10/31/2019 Contest: Poet’s October Pantoum Cash Prize Poetry Contest Sponsor, and Patron: the Right Honourable William Kekaula
