Tribute To Winged Warrior

Tribute to Winged Warrior Oh what majestic beauty, has been trampled, trampled to death by a vicious enemy Oh what misery is ours, we who are left behind in The Never Ending Now Does this misery ever end? Now that you have gone, and spread your wings, all we hear are Evanescing Echoes repeating fly,fly fly dear one! Living without you is like living in Worlds Without Words. An emptiness now dwells within, no more Ephemeral Beauty to gaze upon Evil dwells everywhere, except within you now, we try Escaping Evil, but it is a daunting task All I ask now is Who Mourns For The Poet? Mourning has become an abiding fellow, an undesirable and wretched fellow who kicks hope and happiness to the curb Will this grieving ever end? I feel like a Plasmatic Prisoner of Time, time that has lost it's meaning Purpose and meaning flew out the window, at your sudden departure So where do we go now to find Passions of the Sun? You have left us here Crushed and Abandoned, Within The Sleepless Still Your Love Echoes In Time, but it wages war with those Heartless Echoes that reverberate within these 4 walls I remember that day when you brought Flowers For Emma, you were always so thoughtful, kind and considerate, that was just your way Even though we are left here in these Houses of Mud, yours now sits empty, discarded... but not for forever The Divine Cosmic Eye, will always remember you, you and all who are found in His memory will live again. At night I sometimes still see you In the Fragility of Dreams, Oh how they play on and on and on! In Times Like these, All Roads Lead to Christ, and we can imagine he sheds his Tears From Heaven Now I'm Calling All Angels, to bring Grace and Solitude to these weary eyes They say Love Casts a Shadow, and yours my friend... is a long one! RIP John (Winged Warrior) This poem was written using some of Winged Warriors poem titles as follows: 1. The never ending now 2. Evanescing Echoes 3. Worlds without words 4. Ephemeral Beauty 5. Escaping Evil 6. Who mourns for the poet? 7. Plasmatic prisoner of time 8. Crushed 9. Abandoned 10. Passions of the sun 11. Within the sleepless still 12. Your love echoes in time 13. Heartless Echoes 14. Flowers for Emma 15. Houses of mud 16. The divine cosmic eye 17. In the fragility of dreams 18. In times like these 19. All roads lead to Christ 20. Tears from heaven 21. Calling upon all angels 22. Grace and solitude 23. Love casts a shadow John Derek Hamilton November 14,2020

What a metaphor for emptiness “Living without you is like living in worlds without words”. Amazingly affective in its simple but explosive content. I love it!!

John, this is an amazing tribute to Winged Warrior so beloved here on the soup. You created an amazing poetic epitaph for him - one that can be read over and over evoking precious memories of both his words and of his person. He was awesome. So is your POTD! Congratulations my friend and blessings of consolation.
