Tribute To My Friends (Part 2)
As our lives draw closer each day
to an end,
I know it would have all meant nothing, if I
couldn’t have called you “Friend”.
I wanted to write special words in your
own special poem.
One that would touch the hearts of each one
of you that I have known.
But I don’t think there’s enough paper or
ink to cover my thoughts,
About the happiness you’ve all given me, and
the lessons that you’ve taught.
(Part 2)
Then there was Robert, tall and
handsome as could be.
The one that saved my life. The one that
came and took me,...
Out of that terrible place I was in and let me know
life was worth living.
No one has been sweeter. No one’s ever
been so giving.
He took me from that dark cold place
in the Rockies,
And planted my feet in the warm sand, and
gave life back to me.
Cindy, oh Cindy, it all started with you.
The little package of pain all
wrapped up in such beauty.
No one but I ever knew, I was the one that
always could see,..
Through the hurt in your eyes and the
anger in your soul.
All you ever wanted was to be loved,
to be made to feel whole.
But life has not been kind to you, your tears
run through my veins.
I can only hope that being there for you, has
helped to ease your pain.
I said this was going to be a long one, and I
haven’t even began to cover
All the special “friends” in my life that, each one
is like no other.
