Trees of Despair

Rustling leaves Speak of lonely hearts Weeping for lost loves And days gone by. Willows sleep the sorrow away Weighed down by broken dreams. A whisper, a cry in the wind Settles upon the branches. How can we know the thoughts of trees Who carry the burden of secret nights?
