Trees and the Leaves
In distant field of leaves
Trees sway in afternoon breeze
Somber is the feel about them
Encasing passages to peace
Reflecting on past autumn days
Where trees left their leaves behind
And wind blew them around
But loneliness engulfed those days
And missing are the play mongers
Silently the air bursts through
Lifts leaves above their heads
To land back onto their impressionable hearts
The children play beyond the wind filled air
Playing beyond the years of the solemn trees
Which secretly love each and every moment
