Tree

There once was a tree, So little and tiny, Fragile to the wind, and roots too thin, With leaves so few, A being too pure. Coming from the wilderness, A place of life yet so lifeless, With little to no kindness, The place of loneliness. Exists there creatures so vicious, Striking those who are oblivious, Creatures so venomous, Tricking you and making you unconscious, Where everything is malicious, The little tree still ambitious. Now comes the time of darkness, The little tree alone and harmless, As evil gathers in their masses, Everything feeling so hopeless. But the sun always comes shining, Helping it with its growing, And will always come reminding, That no shadow will exist Without a light amidst the abyss.
