Tranquility
In those moments just before the world closes its sleepy eyes
When it is drenched in wondrous hues of deep blue and crimson
With a luscious moon awaiting patiently to take its seat of reverence
Where all is quiet and twilight lends me such a feeling of tranquility
My thoughts roam, searching the skies for the source of this magnificence
The world seems new, bathed in a peaceful feeling
That the day with all its busy brilliance does not allow
I gaze deeply into the sky , resplendent in its evening gown
As if it were attending some wondrous ball
Where it was the guest of honor
The madness of the daytime world now gone and dressed anew
I am captivated and enthralled, filled with renewed vigor
Allowing hope for better days ahead
A replenishing of mind, spirit and of vision
A vision of a world that even in daylight
Would be able to withstand the brazen glare of all its faults
Returning itself to the beauty that is captured so elegantly within Twilight's glow
