Trail of Tears

I tried hard to follow, her trail of lonely tears Tiny droplets of sadness, that had started here She had reason to leave, no love could she find Now that she's gone, I'm going out of my mind I call to the wind, please show me the way Tears turned to diamonds, sparkled where they lay I carefuly collected, all the tears along the trail My goal to find her, I promise not to fail This gift I will give her, shaped like her heart I will give her my love, I won't hold back any part

A very lovely plove poem. One that comes straight from the heart. You know that there is a rest area about 350 niles south of Chicago named ( The trail of tears) I always stop there. Thanks for sharing. Lucilla

Thanks Lucilla, we have a highway of tears in BC, unfortunately called that because a number of women have been abducted and killed along a stretch of highway in northern BC. Very sad, it has been going on since the 60s.
