Towards a New Cosmology

Out with the old, in with the new That is our strategey as regards the universe Old truths disappear like grass during a brush fire One dawn follows another The risk is palpable We still must be careful to be exacting in our choice of symbols and words "The Joyous Cosmology" is what we are after Our eyes gaze upon the stars We hope there is something out there we can feel a kinship with We're a small part of eternity We ride beneath the moon in our small boats Looking heavenward, we dare to hold our small flag aloft Guided by love - we face creation with beating hearts We will refuse to become slaves of fear Our resolution is strong and our voices ring in the city canyons A change is surely coming!

Change is one of the constants of our universe. The direction of the change is what we can influence by our actions. A good poem makes one think, and this does.

Very interesting one. It makes me think of the new "way" that people are practicing their beliefs in "something out there". I love the ending here. A change is surely coming.

"Change is surely coming!" but fear is sometimes a strong and overwhelming emotion? If push comes to shove, mayhem becomes insanity...it will be hard not to have a wee bit of fear? Still, this write instills hope,.:) I like Shelly...your comment gave me smiles, thank you! I'd been trying to draw a cat in a program I hadn't touched in almost a decade...my son laughed at me.:( I told him it was a Picasso cat...duh Best wishes, Mikki
