Touched By Your Flame
The cold wind galloped through the night
Riding with winter's relentless fury
And the trees howled with all their might
As they stood shivering in the plunging mercury
We were averse to venture outside
Reluctant to face the galloping beast
Taking warmth that the fireplace provided
With a hot cup of cocoa at least
As we snuggled in loves sweet warmth
We became hypnotized by the flame
As it swayed with an elusive charm
We drifted off, as sweet dreams came
When the fire had died and only ashes remained
My heart still glowed, touched by your flame
