My mind is racing
Full throttle
Careening
Out of control
Remembering
Reliving
Recounting
All the memories are a blur
Haze
Fog
Like a drunken beggar
Yearning for more
Lacking the resources
Still intoxicated
By yesterday's bottle
Of notes
Quotes
Anecdotes
Cemented in memory
Stolen by time
Leaving only their bittersweet remnants
Hammering at the heart
Dementing the mind
Shattering the soul
'Til all that's left
Is what you see
