Torn Apart By Your Absence

I can’t believe my eyes I have witnessed your demise Like the day bowing down to the night What a sight…what a pleasant sight Torn apart by your absence I wander through the maze of my own enigmatic mind I faced the truth; I don’t believe it! It’s nonsense! I drift away, only to find…only to find… That this fear bottled up inside needs to be released Shut your eyes – don’t even peek! Shut your mouth – don’t even speak! My soul has strayed too far I wander through the maze of your outlandish mind The truth is…hidden beneath the surface It’s somewhere safe…not devoted to the abyss Shattered by your hopelessness Weeping ‘cause of your demise…hearing insidious lies Your demise…not something I prize I can feel my heart beat fast I have caught you sleeping silently forever Deliver me from this pain of looking back in the past Sorrow bites me with its injurious venom…everything’s a blur Torn apart by your absence I wonder what went through your mind! I faced the truth; I don’t believe it! It’s nonsense! I drift away, only to find…only to find… That this fear bottled up inside needs to be released Shut your eyes – don’t even peek! Shut your mouth – don’t even speak! My soul has strayed too far I wander through the maze of your outlandish mind The truth is…hidden beneath the surface It’s somewhere safe…not devoted to the abyss Shattered by your hopelessness Weeping ‘cause of your demise…hearing sinister lies Your demise…not something I prize I CAN’T LIVE THIS LIFE IN DESOLATION This is not the way I should have turned out to be I can’t look behind me…I must keep my head up high I look in front of me…I shall not disappoint me Heal this wound that scarred me with fear

19th on the list: This is the one where I felt rage from you. Dave, I'm sure you have a compilation of your work in your computer/laptop. So far, the list that you provided me will make a very good collection of poems with the lighter ones as interludes. It's like going through a dungeon and there are monsters every turn and, suddenly, a save point! HAHAHAHA
