Too soon for laughter
Too soon for tears
Too soon for trust
Too soon for fear
He left you for another
And my heart is in the way
Too soon for another love
So alone we both stay
I'll give you time
But I wish you would cry
Do you long for him
Too soon to deny
He used you and is gone
He treated you wrong
Is it too soon to see
In my heart you belong
Love can be sad and love can be bad
Too soon for love to make you glad
If you take my hand I'll pull you up
You see you couldn't be free of him
Soon enough.
