Too Many Stars

There are too many stars in the sky at night Too many grains of sand on the beach The night, more than the day, is blinding-bright The seas are now but a sandy reef More mouths to feed than blades of grass More fire than fuel in the hearth The burning desires of men may go up in smoke With myriad more Earthlings than Earth
