Too Many People

People, people everywhere, oh my Can't get out of their way, won't even try. Everywhere you go it's the same old story. And won't know why until we get to Glory! While shopping at the mall today, I spied, People, people everywhere, oh my. I drove around and finally found, A spot, with no one else around. I pulled into the space and parked. Looked around to see and mentally marked, People, people everywhere, oh my. It just makes you really want to cry. Went into the store and shopped. Didn't stay too long because it was flocked. On every isle roaming by, why? People, people everywhere, oh my,

Marty, this fun poem reminded me of lions and tigers and bears oh my from the Wizard of Oz. I'm sure you were thinking of that when you wrote it! My hubbie HATES crowds, so I can rarely get him to go to crowded places with me. Well, it's over until next Xmas. Luv, Andrea ps thanks for your comment today.

Reminds me of my time living in New York. So crowded, it was crazy. You couldnt take a step without bumping into someone.

You said it! There's an overpopulation, yet everyone feels alone (from one of my poems). I totally agree with your experiences.

I don't do crowds so I can relate. I also don't like the fact that everywhere I go there is always someone I know and they seem to keep me in that crowd longer so we can chat. I'm thinking...telephone... please! LOL Very well written. Smiles from Lolita

Methinks you share my distaste for crowded malls, Marty. There are probably many readers who can share the angst you express so well here. And then, after finally finding your parking space, the crowds drive you to leave before you finish your shopping. The holiday season is getting to us, isn't it? This is a fun read, Marty, and filled with a lot of truth. Love, Carolyn
