Tongue Lashing

Positioned in order to hear Tales of tall thought’s taunting Lies move along the palate Lips moving in silence Sounds traveling into innocent ears Moving to the soul of pure heart Twisting and turning it’s valves Cutting off it’s brain from power Unable to speak only hear Anger raging within yet, a calm look Frozen in time unable to move Insults with hurtful sounds Fear created by a fool with words Hark! A listener from afar An Angel sent from heaven above Speaking in silent tones only one can hear Matthew 10:28 “ And fear not them which kill the body. But are not able to kill the soul” Their soul gently came to peace While the bully was still speaking This gentle soul let these words travel Into one ear and out the other Their pain had disappeared
