Tongue
There is safety in lies,
Hiding behind a thin disguise,
Waiting for the day to come,
When they'll realize what you are;
Faithless scum,
An attention whore,
A envious shadow
Of those you adore.
Never catering to their needs,
Yet always for your vanities.
Never can her words satisfy,
You must always be best in others' eyes.
May these words cut you where it hurt,
May it be a blessing,
May this bring you down to size
May this be a healing,
Fixed in your own eyes,
Yet none shall ever know.
Your penance, forever unsung
Your lies no longer flow.
