regrets living life to fast.
TOMORROW
November 2013
I used up my future in the past.
Now I have no home here.
I am only using this bridge,
this twilight to stay afloat.
Too much, too fast.
Living life
to the fullest-
Life to the brim.
A life too exciting -
too curious.
Too zealous
Right now,
meant I wanted
It yesterday-
Yesterday couldn't
wait another day.
too crazy-
too impatient
Legacy of my blood-
even.
Nine months was too long.
Too angry-too brave,
To strong-tied down
No way no how.
Never waited for things
to come my way
gotta have what I need, now.
Missed a heap of
blessings by
leaving too soon-
Puff I am gone-.
If you see me now -
you won't see me later.
I used up my future in the past.
Now I have no home here
I have no now at last.
Took all my turns to fast.
I am only using this bridge,
This twilight
to stay afloat.
I used up my future too fast
My Boat came in and docked
landed -and left me stranded
in the past.
Been there done that.
knew that--forgot that
Al that-
Nothing left for me to do or say
Can’t duck my fate
Too late to play it straight
took the bend in the road
Arrived early at the end
of my earthly soul.
Too impetuous.
I've been told.
There's nothing
else new-
under the sun
For me to do.
Much too impetuous
I've been told
lived above my means.
I Was
Before my own time,
now old.
Much too bold-
My Future has
been bought and sold.
I can't even
wait for death...
cool and deadly
on his breath-
Sleepless nights
enough regrets.
I will begin again
to replay my
hedonistic sins.
As I
Fast Forward
to the here and now
So tired from
my reckless past.
Finally, Inertia has
Closed my eyes
and so, for me
there's rest at last...
