I can appreciate both versions of the poem and I encourage you to continue to publish on this site. Being an italian, I tried first to translate my poems and I found english an unexpectedly various and sounding language. So you can try with french to english translations

Merci Mario, yes to write in a different lanquage or translate is not easy, however, It is so much fun to learn the small nuances in ones own lanquage by learning another!
