Together In the Country

Together In The Country by Melanie D Palmer As we walk hand in hand Down the road, leading to town, We stop to look at the beautiful colors Of the leaves, so many different shapes, too. We find a perfect tree to carve our names on, the one where I received my first kiss from you, just years ago. Out in the field, horses go galloping by, Turn around and stand by us, waiting to get an apple as a treat. Gently take it from our hand, we pet them, then they take off again. We turn around to go home, sun is shining on us, so bright. He turns to her and tells her how much he loves her. She turned and said she loved him, too. © Melanie . All rights reserved, 23 hours ago

Amazing piece of romantic memories, Melanie. The imagery is indeed honest, and vibrant. Enjoyable piece overall. Check out some of my poems. Might find some you like. Peace.
