Together In Dreams

My father is sitting on the bank, he's petting Goldie's ears. I see them both and start to cry. I can't control the tears. It was as if I wasn't there, like I was the one who was dead. He couldn't see me standing there, couldn't hear what I said. When I awoke, my pillow was wet. My heart, so heavy with grief. They've both been gone now for so long but they're together, thats my belief. I was so young, so very young when they both passed away. Now and then they visit my dreams but only for a moment stay. I miss my father so very much. I miss our Goldie too. It brings some comfort to know they're together. My dreams tell me its true. ~~~~not all dreams are good or bad, some are just profoundly sad ~~~~

I'm glad they are together too. I have to believe that when I pass,, I will see again all the pets we have loved and lost over the years. They are waiting, just like Goldie. Well written Francine. Congratulations

So moving, Francine. You describe the image of your father ang Goldie beautifully. When I dream of lost loved ones, I often wake up crying. I don't see Frank's contest posted yet, but this will make a wonderful entry for it. (After my Dad died, I dreamt he was alive and hiding out from the mafia. Very strange, but I woke up believing it was true.) Love the footnote at the end too. Love, Carolyn
