Today Is Halloween

Today is Halloween By Franklin Price 10/31/2015 Today is Halloween Tonight will drive me wild One of my very favorite days When I was still a child I'm taken back by memories As the years go by a feat Remembering the fun times When I would Trick or Treat A sandwich bag within my grasp Or an optimistic pillow case Throughout the neighborhoods In my costume I would race I had to really hurry Knew the candy would not last All the other kids would get it If I was not very fast But that was long ago For years been rising from my chair When the knock of Trick or Treaters Takes me to the door that's there In my hands a bowl of candy On my face a welcome smile Question who they're dressed as Get them to talk a little while Try not keep them very long Give them candy so no trick Then off they race on down the street The goodies still go to the quick I don't think that any know it But I'm racing with them there In my memories Trick or Treating Instead of waiting in my chair If you took this as a sad tale Well it isn't that at all It still makes me very happy Being Trick or Treated in the Fall
