To Travel the Unknown

The morning breaks and sun doth smile I trod the path and take a mile And in the wayside of the lane I pause for 'while and breathe within. When noon time came I found a hut With thought of nap I come inside And lo! my friend it stinks and rot So I left the place with face dismayed. Though scorching heat, I took my step I passed some folks along the road Some offered a bed to sleep Some told me I'm a toad. I dropped and fell into my knees And upon the ground I raised my hand To ask His aid upon my need A friend did came and helped me stand. So I hit the road with hope within That at the end there'll be an inn To drink and eat a sweetest cream It fuels me like a dream! My soul was weary for the road is long And came the man and give me ride We passed the valley, we passed the hills With terrible road but sturdy wheels The going gets rough but he stayed along That's when I knew I'll cling his side Until the sun will fade and die!

Stephany, I do not know if there is truly love at first sight, but I do know that without kindness and commitment love can not grow. A lovely poem you have written.
