TO THE CLERGYMEN

O, clergymen, heed my plea, Be true to your flock, let them see, The love of God, pure and true, Be the shining light, for all to view. Beware of pride and arrogance, Keep pure of mind, with no pretence. Love your flock, as Christ would do, And live a life, of virtue true. Treat all with kindness, grace and care, As God has taught, without compare. Let not your thoughts or actions stray, From God's commands, each and every day. Deed that capture what in Jesus’ look Let it be found in you and outlook.
