To See
Abused, neglected....small moments of peace,
finding love in the midst of all the debree,
Twisted, unexplainable, unseen,
Covered up so one could see,
secrets so horrific, how much could one person take?,
Without falling apart from the emotional pain,
yet this is not my fate, there was birthed purpose,
A sensitivity to love, with compassion behind it,
To be able to see more, face more in this life,
look it straight in the eye, and say my heart's still alive,
I want no pity, nor seeking attention,
But I will tell these stories out of love and compassion,
I will understand, related love, and fight for your heart to be free,
I only remember the pain again, when love must rise above and be seen,
I feel the urgency in my heart, there's something more to see,
I have not only touched your heart, but you've touched the heart of me.
