Picked up a book of poetry Read some of the verse in it Quite good I thought Seems the poems were written by SEVENTH GRADERS! Some of them wee better than what I have seen from older - far more experienced writers Talent shines forth Genius doesn't come along every day Yet it does come along! Read the poetry of today's youth Alongside the poetry of senior citizens "Damn I almost am one) Enlighten your self by picking up a volume of verse

Damn I almost one. hahaha. loved that part. I actually get senior discounts now at age 60!!! This is great, Matt. And I am sorry about your grandfather. My daughter in law smokes. Son drinks. I am worried for them both.

My aunt and uncle both still write poetry.. my uncle is 96 - I have seen some amazing young people post poetry here on soup - i am blown away by the talent at any age:-) hugs Jan xx
