To Our Lost Friends
Today the Sun refused to rise
to shed its light of day
The moon would not linger long
So, thus it went away
Each star up in the heavens
Took their turn to say "Goodbye"
and left us in the darkness
all alone, to let us cry
Every single poet
is a gift that we hold dear
we might not like, all they write
but we're glad that they are here
And when one goes away
they take the light they hold inside
It's like the Sun refused to rise
When I heard the words "Good Bye"
