To My Daughter
Jessica Lynn, this name we sat and often wondered upon to which we should give you.
Its status of great popularity, Adding my own mothers name of venue.
Your day of birth had come with much excitement in the air.
A first born child to me, A cherished joy for all my family to share.
Thru out your days of growing, You would draw so may laughs.
From your charming personality, To those days you often imitated your big pap.
Animals seemed to adore you, Cats, Dogs, Horses, Rabbits and Hamsters you have owned.
Many times you talked of being a veterinarian. So these animals always had a safe home.
A nurturing personality I have always seen.
That mothering sense around the young ones A caring protector you seemed to be.
Now your growing older your teen years you have become.
So many things have changed around you, Just remember you are still young.
If there is one thing I can pass down to you, Advice that was given to me.
Life is what you make it, hard work will define your destiny.
It’s not always going to be easy, And you must work hard toward those goals You wish to
achieve.
With a little parental guidance, further your education, Then your goals wont be as far away
as they may have seemed.
Love Dad
