To Mom
I wanna start this off with I'm sorry for all of the things that I did
got on your each and every nerve when I was a kid
played with some of your emotions
pushed every single button
but there was never a time where you didn't show me a momma's lovin
there's people out there that has never held their mother's hand
I'm fortunate enough to say you helped mold me into a man
even in the sickest of health
you still always put us before yourself
I was too young to see how much you had to sacrifice
long days
longer nights
at work just wishing you were home at night
I knew that you didn't always have extra money to pay a sitter
because everyday that momma went to work
all of us kids would go with her
none of us ever really did mind
it got all of us to spend a little bit of family time
you always took care of us kids turning every house into a home
giving all of us something that we could call our own
I knew that I was safe with you I never had to worry
because if I ever needed you
you were right there in a hurry
if there was a mom of the year award
you would definitely be the one
I could never really think you for all of the things that you've done
I really am privileged to have a mother like you
no mother would ever compare with all of the things you do
