To Jim
As you walk on and I tag along
I see dignity in your
Every step
You accept life’s challenges
With calm poise with no need
To deliver upset
You speak with people from only your truths
And deepest love in your heart
You inspire them to look from within
When life’s tragedies commence to start
I wander life’s roads with trepidation
And woes of what the future
May hold
I am just a child stumbling along
Fearful, quivering and cold
I don’t ask
That you complete my tasks
And unravel my confusion within
I would be so grateful
For just a moment
If you could show me
Where to begin
