To Have Been
Some world indeed we live in
A world never for one to truly belong
Sleeping for days awakening to dreams
How did life ever gone along?
They all build to flourish
We all live to nourish
We learn to somehow cherish
Is it the world, or are we selfish?
I very much would like to blame
That someone in particular to be at fault
Building blocks for staggering games
Would I have known, we are who we admit we’re not
Given sorts, given places
We begin and end, we are in between
To creatively begin the neverending chases
We explore the thirst for what never seem
I did not know the world to live in
Some world never for us to somehow belong
If I have a life... I am perhaps keen
Did I just wonder if ever life goes along?
