To Gaze On Beauty

Beyond green meadows, humming birds slow flight To gaze on beauty as she passes by When my love comes, she brings a brighter light And jealous stars dim with a whispered sigh To be lonely when my lover is gone As she came to me when my need was King She filled my eyes, a lushous fiery dawn And took my spirit from Winter to Spring Did you not see the sun's red setting blush, When she took my chalice filled with its pain? Opened my arms for her passionate rush And led me through darkness, out of the rain Oh dear love, with eyes of a darker hue You tell my heart why God created you 9/1/16 Contest English Sonnet 3

Frederic my poetic friend. I must admit I read it over and over a few times, I think you are talking about a sunrise. At least that is my interpretation. It's hidden in there somewhere. But the line,"She filled my eyes, a lush fiery dawn" I think is the clue. loved the sonnet my friend.
