To Forgive

Forgiveness will almost never erase the hurt that the deed has inevitably caused. However, in that hurt is where I realize who and what we really are... Humans are not built to supress, nor to put on a mask, to impress— to pry and to rage like a demon in a cage. Yet humans are not steady rocks— we are thrashing waves in the storm, screaming at the top of our lungs to be saved— to be loved perfectly— and yet we love indefinitely in our watery graves. The hurt is there to wake us up to the truth, and to reach for the light with searching eyes, kneeling at the final countdown of overwhelming darkness onto the soft shores of promising peace. To forgive, is to remember with love how to see beyond your human mind, and touch another soul with the respect that every life deserves— to empathize our broken conditions— to care and mend the frictions. I do not like what the world has become, nor will I love every action in this waking life, but I will never cross the thresholds of hatred. You will not find me residing there, biting and chewing on the crimes done, personalizing every sin into accusation, and manipulating it into my problem.  I will wait, I will hope, and I will keep forgiving, until you walk with me or without me out of this door of uncertainty and into the light of clarity and fidelity. 10.29-31.19

Love this Laura,. This is brilliant but it takes an open eye to grasp the beauty within this message, thrashing waves in the storm screaming at top of lungs to be saved,,, this is our soul pleading for us to seek God,. But this can only be revealed through the presence of God within after He has pulled one away from this world and we look from the outside with a new vision and mind,. Love this my friend
