To Do Again For the First Time

Dive deep into my inner place once more, maybe twice. Fly while standing still, as I did before I learned the truth. Lose myself in painting to the point of no breath or thought beyond the canvas. Write with abandon about heart, butterflies, and her fierce beauty. Walk among white marble tombs, eat crawfish jambalaya, dance the zydeco. One more glass of wine, just the one... Any more and I’m lost. Never lose myself again to the blackness of no memory.

Great! So far as I know, painting and wine are made for each other... Jack

I want to add that I am attempting an oil painting and this inspired me so much. Even to the glass of wine.

Beautyful description of memory fluctuating in the past as often happens overnight when sleeping is interrupted and it becomes hard to sleep again....

To experience things for the first time over again. How cool would that be? I often feel like that when I get really into a book... I wish I could forget it all and then re-read it. I liked the feel of this one... the painting almost seemed real enough to walk inside of one.

I've done it a few time, and there are those I'll never do again, want to or not.
