To Amy
First thing in the morn, ‘for I even yawn
I thank God, He gifted me you…
I’ve lived one more day, a prayer I say
There is so much more I must do!
For you gave me my life, ended my strife
I thank God, He gifted me you…
There’d be no more sorrow, days full of horror
Each day I could live life anew.
For twenty-three years, full of love and tears
I thank God, He gifted me you…
I’ve lived them all, thanks to you, standing tall
Tho you were struck down, that is true.
When your life did end, my life would begin
I thank God, He gifted me you…
I know not what God planned, but by His hand
My days would no longer be blue!
You live within me, allow me to be
I thank God, He gifted me you…
Tho God took you away, with me you stay
No longer as one, but as two!
