To a Mother From a Daughter
a butterfly, a rainbow, a shooting star,
a brick, a rock, a slit throat,
blood, bruises and lies
a Father's fist, a mother's cry,
a child hides...
a butterfly, a rainbow, a shooting star,
pathetic, pain, and worries
a daughter's cry a mother's scream
ALONE, no one on this team,
a reason? None
a butterfly, a rainbow, a shooting star
good thoughts get buried and drowned in the ocean of life
while the clouds of life create a storm,
hearts get torn,
this becomes the norm
a butterfly, a rainbow, a shooting star
a brick, a rock, a slit throat
too many reasons to die
not enough to live...
Sincerely,
a daughter
