The man who spurned two love-wrought snakes In reptilian copulation The blind seer, auspicious he And his clairvoyant recitation. Born a male and died a man But for committing a transgression, Lived some years on the distaff side In a feminine intercession. At the moral of the auger's tale, The head, interspecting, nods: We should take an active role In abiding by the gods.
